All I Wanted Was To Get Married

Every time I attend a wedding ceremony, the initial charge always gets me thinking.

Dearly beloved, we are gathered together here in the sight of God, and in the face of this company, to join together this Man and this Woman in holy Matrimony; which is an honorable estate...... and is commended of Saint Paul to be honorable among all men: and therefore is not by any to be entered into unadvisedly or lightly; but reverently, discreetly, advisedly, soberly, and in the fear of God.

Yep! It is not a joke and definitely not for the immature.

The intention is to build a marriage that will go the distance. The goal is a stable and satisfying relationship that will withstand the storms of life.

My little experience has taught me that finding the right person can be one of life's greatest challenges. This is all the more difficult, given the fact that many grew up without good role models.

Like James Dobson put it, " Many young people have only seen conflict and disillusionment."

Little wonder some have chosen not to be married.

It takes hard work to have a marriage that is blissful.

It however possible to build an intimate relationship where there is a mystical bond of friendship, understanding, trust, commitment, and unconditional love.

This volume is the first in the series of my journey from singlehood to married life. I have always sought counsel from wise ones at every point.

Plans fail for lack of counsel but with many advisers, they succeed. Proverb 15:22

This is a collection of stories with relevant lessons on the road to marital bliss. True accounts of mistakes, missteps, and direction in deciding whom to marry. Stories laced with Godly counsel on how to make the right choice in marriage.

Here is hoping the reader will take home relevant lessons and learn from the mistakes of others.
